History

GTS Systems and Consulting GmbH (GTS) was founded as a spin-off of the 'Chair of Operations Research and Logistics Management' of RWTH Aachen University. The former director of this department, Prof. Dr. Hans-Jürgen Sebastian, is one of the founders of GTS. He now is director of the 'Deutsche Post Endowed Chair of Optimization of Distribution Networks' at RWTH Aachen University. GTS co-operates closely with this and other renowned universities and research organisations.

Team

The core team of GTS has been working together since 1995. The first projects were the development and implementation of planning systems for the Deutsche Post AG. The foundation as an enterprise took place in 1999.

Acting partners of GTS Systems and Consutling GmbH are Dr. Tore Grünert and Michael Thärigen. Our team consists of about 20 highly educated mathematicians, computer engineers, industrial engineers and OR specialists.
